Construction of new 2G headquarters was started 24.10.2008
With a ground-breaking ceremony the contruction of the new company headquarters was started yesterday. Completion is planned for March 2009.
Within a very short term, until mid-March 2009, two manufacturing plants of approx. 1,500 square meters each and a modern office building of 1,000 square meters will be built. The 16,500 square meters large site offers a lot of space for further expansion.
As a matter of course, 2G will use state-of-the-art energy technology to save energy and protect the climate.
The Board is certain that a strong development will be achieved in the years to come.
Against this background, the 2G team will double from currently 60 to 120 employees. The layout of the manufacturing plants underlines the envisaged growth. The storage area will grow to 450 square meters. 11 assembly stations for stationary CHP units and 6 assembly stations for container modules are planned. The largest assembly station for container modules will measure 5 x 15 meters. The new building will also allow to considerably increase the vertical range of manufacture, thus saving costs and improving the profitabilty of series production.
