At a shopping center in Oldenburg, a 2G natural gas CHP covers the basic needs for electricity and heat. During the summer month, the integrated absorption chiller uses waste heat from the plant for air conditioning. If necessary, the CHP also manufactures emergency power for the irrigation system. This natural gas CHP consists of two 526-kW cogeneration modules, and saves by combined heat, cooling and power, compared to conventional energy producers, 40 percent of primary energy and 60 percent of CO2 emissions.
